Verrucae are simply viral warts which appear on the feet and toes caused by an opportunistic infection by an HPV (Human Papiloma Virus).
They are harmless but can cause sharp or burning pains.
Some people are upset by their unsightly appearance.

ChemicalSalicylic Acid is applied in a pad to produce local controlled tissue breakdown.
The dressing needs to be kept in place for 3-5 days before being removed. The dressing needs to be kept dry. Several applications are necessary. |
CryotherapyThis involves freezing the verruca or wart with Nitrous Oxide gas.
You don't usually need a dressing. This often needs to be done 3 or 4 times before a result is seen. |
NeedlingA Local Anaesthetic injection is used to numb the desired area.
A Sterile needle is used to puncture the Verruca several times. A dressing is applied. Results are often seen within 6 months. |
